Founding as a Grassroots Community Refuge
Spiritual sanctuary and emergency local relief in Tottenham
Grounded in traditional Sufi teachings of unconditional hospitality and compassionate civic service, the Trust established its initial sanctuary in North London to provide warm spiritual shelter, emergency winter welfare, and a peaceful meeting place for residents of all backgrounds.

To counter growing local food insecurity and social isolation, the Trust expanded its facilities to launch a dedicated daily open kitchen. Providing hot, wholesome meals weekly with zero barriers to entry, it quickly grew into a vital social anchor for seniors, vulnerable families, and unhoused neighbors.

Securing permanent charity assets and ten affordable housing units
The Trust achieved long-term site stewardship of its landmark Tottenham premises, anchoring its social mission in secure physical assets. As part of this phase, 10 affordable housing units were integrated to protect vulnerable local individuals from housing displacement.

Statutory Civic Renewal & Future Expansion

Currently underway, our Community Renewal initiative represents our most ambitious statutory project to date. We are restoring our historic building fabric, installing 2 DDA passenger lifts, building 5 additional affordable one-bedroom homes, and adding solar PV generation for clean, sustainable operations.
